Meet the "Honorable" Gov. Rick Perry Wednesday!

Gov. Rick Perry will be at Bookpeople in downtown Austin this Wednesday night to present his new book called "On my Honor".

I'm sure Perry's press people asked the media to come, so here's your chance to get interviewed. Tell tens of thousands of people how the honorable Perry is stealing your land and/or freeways. Bring your "TTC Land Thief!", "Double Tax Toller Perry" signs. Oh, and don't forget your pitchforks.

"In the book, Perry takes aim at the secular humanist movement and what he sees as their corrosive agenda of moral relativism. He examines the left's legal assaults on the Boy Scouts and its negative impact on today's society. Perry offers an intuitive look at the war between the proponents of traditional American values and the radical left that he feels are trying to undermine our social foundations."

.................Wait a minute, he is attempting to sell Texas to foreigners and reap the benefits of graft and corruption at the expense of the very people he was elected to represent. How on earth does he think he can pontificate when he himself is a greedy, corrupt, money loving whore to big business.

My bible says: "How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

You see, the bible's relevance is proven again. Shame on you Rick. Money and power has become your god.

Sadly, Canteen Boy lacks the intellectual capacity to 'pontificate.'

This book was ghostwritten and edited by a political hack, and is being used as a vehicle to elevate 39%'s national profile.

It is is destined for the discount rack of your local Dollar General Store.

That would be sooo cool if a bunch of people showed up to protest his toll road agendas- something he most certainly would not expect. This guy has no integrity and absolutely NO HONOR. How the hell does he get off writing a book about honor. LOL

What "honor"?

Honesty, what a disgrace to the Boy Scounts ! That seems to be the trend now, write about how great you should be. All the politicians are doing it - bet if they didn't spend as much time writing and publishing books, they might be able to help in managing the countries business. You know, back in history a bit, other authors wrote books about the great leaders of the country, and some were really good works of art. Now, everybody is writing about themselves - what does that say for our great leaders?

LETTER TO EDITOR TODAY:

Abandoning the Scouts

Gov. Rick Perry’s book extolling the virtues of the Boy Scouts and excoriating the American Civil Liberties Union for challenging the group’s discriminatory policies turned my stomach.

My husband is an Eagle Scout who believes deeply in the value of scouting and looked forward to introducing it to our three sons. Then the right-wing religious crazies took over scouting, going all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to defend their right to bar gays from their ranks.

We sought to teach our children values of acceptance and equality and could not, in good conscience, allow them to participate in an organization whose policies discriminate against gays. We chose to take a moral stand against bigotry. Until the Boy Scouts abandon this wrongheaded and hateful position, our children will not be Scouts.
