Poll: Most New Jerseyans oppose toll-hike plan

Days after New Jersey Gov. Corzine unveiled his scheme to increase tolls 50% every four years, a poll finds 56 percent oppose the plan while only 15 percent approved of it, according to a Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey poll.

"15 percent approved of it"

WHAT???? LOL!!! Is this a joke? Who the hell actually approved of a toll road becoming MORE expensive?!?!?!

""The governor has said the only thing on the table right now is tolls or taxes, and the public says they don't buy that," said Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute."

Corzine also said he and his state have never been "poll driven." Read that - they will continue to ignore the overwhelming will of the people.

These 3 toll roads, as I undertand it, are wholly state owned. Just because the state is going to squeeze more revenue out of the taxpayers and call it a cost of living toll increase, does not mean it is not just another tax increase.

Tolls are taxes. Taxes masquerade under many other names, but they are still taxes.

Corzine appears to be just as corrupt as Rick Perry. Guess they belong to the same totally purchased and owned governors club.
