Toll Authority Spends Fortune on Perks NOT Roads

The North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] is spending a small fortune on things that have nothing to do with building roads.

Instead, it spent hundreds of thousands of dollars of your toll money on advertising that comes with a valuable perk, and you don't get to enjoy it. It's an advertisement at the American Airlines Center which reads "TollTag people." This ad is costing you nearly half a million dollars....

Click the arrow above and watch the whole unaccountable bureaucratic waste of money. Also see...

I read somewhere that one reason the tollers picked the US is because in Columbia, there is violence. I hate to be a pessimist and I don't condone it but is violence the only way to stop these outrageous tolls? Is the vote dead?

All of these investigative news stories that are coming out of Dallas should be seen as the type of behavior that can be expected from employees and management of the new tolling agencies of Austin and San Antonio. These agencies are still somewhat new, and they might not know what the can get away with yet. It remains to be seen, though, if any of the news channels in Austin or San Antonio will take the time or have the balls to look into these same types of abuses of our tax payer money. My bet is that KXAN MIGHT do an investigative report like this, but they would be the only one. I can't see it happening in San Antonio at all.

Is it possible to put up signs near the voting booth, "Randi Shade Voted to Toll our existing roads?" Until we put up signs at all voting booths, the general public will be duped. Really, for every election, we can win if we do this. People will finally be informed.

I've posted links for more than Dallas. The press love to do Gotcha stories....they will come.

Shade has not been elected as of yet, so she has not had the opportunity to vote for freeway tolls. Yet.

This is the most puke inducing video I've seen yet. There's absolutely no f______ reason for a monopoly to spend $500k of our tax dollars advertising at the Maverick's stadium. A private corporation that has to compete with others, I could see that but a tolling monopoly? Hell no. I mean it's like allowing the FAA to buy a $500k banner that says "FAA" Why!
