Perry Scheming For Special Session to Kill 391 Commissions?

There are rumblings in the Capitol that Texas Governor Rick Perry is looking at the possibility of calling a Special Session of the Texas Legislature to curtail the power of Regional Planning Commissions.

Why? Because Sub-Regional Planning Commissions have become the latest weapon in the arsenal of opponents of the Trans-Texas Corridor says Capitol Annex

Read how "391 Commissions" can kill the Gov. Perry and Sen. Watson TTC Land Grab.

I, for one, hope goodhair does call it. I think it would be suicide for any Rep or Senator to go along with it.

All I can say is, "WOW"! Does a 391 Commission really impose so huge a threat that a Special Session needs to be called? That is pretty impressive...Are there any other laws on the books that can work as effectively as this one, that can be used alongside the 391 law? I mean, in case Perry figures out a way around it...

Wow! If in fact TxDOT has approached the governor’s office to see if holding a special session on this is possible, then we now know just how much TxDOT has TOTAL disregard and disdain for the citizens of our great state and the legislators that are suppose to represent us.

This is one of the stupidest moves by TxDOT lately to keep the public out of their continued, insane scam to make themselves and pretty boy Perry millions to line their pockets.

I am ashamed to be serving our hard working citizens at this out of touch, arrogant, greedy, lying, mismanaged, deceitful, two-faced, hypocritical, out of control, politically motivated, developer-ass-kissing, corrupt legislator supporting, non-disclosing, truth suppressing, detached from reality, unfeeling to citizens, information hiding, deaf to truth, %*@ked up beyond belief organization called TxDOT.

If the idiots at the top would stick to the basics and serve the public by improving safety, increasing mobility and prudently manage our money that winds up in their incompetent hands, they might actually be able to start gaining trust and support from the public. Of course, this means they would have to stop playing politics which they allow to consume all of their time. When you really think about it, I guess it is to be expected that TxDOT leaders are not interested in serving the public; our politicians don’t.

Sal,

Isn't clear that you are a pathetic joke and absolutely nobody cares what you think?

Post this message if you dare...if you do post this, you know no one will read it anyway, and if you don't post this, you are a simply the obsequious sycophant we always knew you were (look it up, clueless)

Anonymous 11:46 PM is yet another special interest dirtbag who hates citizens speaking out for themselves...

Heck, it could be Krusee himself...or is he out driving drunk again tonight?

To 11:46 PM -- You got your message backwards in that not Sal but rather you are the pathetic individual whose words the vast majority find both despicable and reprehensible. My name is Dan Jasinski -- DO YOU (11:46 PM) HAVE THE FORTITUDE TO DARE TO SHARE YOUR OWN IDENTITY other than cowardly snipe as anonymous?

God bless Sal and the folks like him. There are many of us in East Texas that lack the resources and contacts to get the real story without his help. His dedication has helped to mobilize thousands of us who care about this state and nation we call home. This blog is gaining a following that is increasingly mentioned at activist meetings I now attend.

Reference 11:46 PM (again from Dan Jasinski) -- Once again a pro-toll arguer fails to provide legitimate basis or display any sincere fortitude to identify themselves as a toll proponent. Self-serving special interests prefer to lurk in the shadows (behind people's backs and closed doors) to avoid accountability just like thieves do. I believe "11:46 PM" is a gutless weasel just like Heilingenstein!

I know it is unrelated to the toll roads but someone I know is a DPS trooper and they told me that Rick Perry is widely known as a homosexual. If this information was more widely released don't you think that would hurt his reelection bid? ala a Gov. McGreevey? Let me know what you think. I will remain anonomyous so that the trooper will not be known.

I know another police officer who said Perry is gay. This should be smeared on the news! It's not a crime to be gay, but traditional Republican voters who vote for guns, for god, and against gays should know the truth. Out of the closet, Mr 39%!

If true, Mr. "On My Honor" shouldn't be allowed to associate with the Boy Scouts.
