The founder of TexasTollParty.com shines a light on the dark corners of special interest boondoggles: Double tax tolls and Trans Texas Corridor tax, toll & debt schemes.
The Democrat Party by no means gets a pass on all this toll road terror.
I have seen plenty of Democrats vote from the early 2000s on everything to promote this grand scam.
I also have seen plenty of people who always vote a straight Dem ticket keep on doing that to their own demise - to wit - East Austin voting for Kirk Watson.
I see the Democrat Party being just as dubbable as "the tolling party" as is the R party.
But, if the D party takes that stance, some D's get locked out in the cold (Kirk Watson, Dukes and others)...and the more people, or party's with us, the better we'll do in this fight.
Republicans need to be known as the taxing party. The sell our infrastructure to foreigners party. The North American Union/Amero Party. Until they're known as all of the above, die hard Republicans may have a hard time voting Democrat. Older Republican voters loved Reagan because he dramatically cut taxes and made it much easier to buy a house and save money. A friend in the military once complained to me that Clinton screwed the troops by providing vulnerable Blackhawk helicopters in Somalia rather than tanks. Republican voters hate Hillary and some refuse to believe the manufacturing news website's report on Giuliani, exposing his profit motive for pushing toll roads, and more importantly, how tolls and the NAU will compromise national sovereignty and security. The challenge is that the Republicans need to be EXPOSED for what they really are- fiscally liberal (why else would perry call it CREATIVE financing?) and a hazard to national sovereignty and security.
