"Because a few people don't like something, it's going to cost us $2 million," Mr. Caraway said. "The taxpayers are going to have to eat the cost." F___ You Mr. Caraway. This is America. $2 million for a vote is money well spent.
Why is our government calling democracy a waste of taxpayer money? The $9 million of gas tax dollars spent for Take On Traffic toll lobbying campaign is a waste of taxpayer money.
As the race heated up, even Congressman Pete Sessions got involved, calling on voters to go to the polls and vote in support of the toll road project. According to a voting map, the support for the toll road prevailed in South and North Dallas.
47% of the voters don't think a road in a floodway is a good idea.
Who cares! Suckers! I'm moving to Wyoming in a few short months. Roads are better maintained, no tolls and the speed limit is 75 everywhere day or night. Taxpayers of Texas have got to be the dumbest in the nation. I voted NO on all these foolish ideas.
In Wyoming, Perry and his thugs would be hanging from trees long ago. I loved living in Texas until Perry was elected, now it's a screwed up mess of a state.
