This morning a reliable source tells me via phone - that the toll tag readers in Austin are not only double billing some drivers (as KXAN reports), but that the toll tag readers are also failing to bill some drivers.
I'm told that TxDOT is ultra frustrated with the malfunctioning of the toll equipment. Bureaucracy ALWAYS costs everyone more.

They are not failing to bill some cause I got their bill .. they are sending folks bill that don't even use the toll roads ... after many phone calls later and being treated real bad they calm the data was inputted incorrectly,, When you demand a picture they get real nasty ... If did pay a scam bill consider yourself scammed..
I know of at least 10 folks that have received bogus bills..
I have been trying to inform folks but it seems nobody care....
Before I decided to buy a txtag, I got a bill. I wanted to know how they knew it was me. The customer service rep told me that all the bills are send out after reviewing the pictures. I asked for a picture and they sent me a letter with my car's picture on it. So, you can not get a bogus bill. If you got a bill that is because they have a picture of your car...
LOL ROLMFAO they have not sent anybody a picture,, They refuse too,,, and when you contest it they get mean.. after many calls later they claim the tag was inputed incorrect... sorry is all you get and they refuse to send any paper work to say it has been cleared up...
Next time I'll get a lawyer,,,
cause we DONOT drive anywhere near any of there toll roads,,,
