OF SPECIAL NOTE:

FRANK CORTE REFUSES TO SIGN ON - CORTE OFFICE STAFF RUDE TO CONSTITUENTS

A couple of my favorite local tollers, Rep. Mark Strama and Rep. Patrick Rose have failed to sign on. Rep. Mark Strama, who as a member of CAMPO voted to toll roads that were already 100% paid for, has yet to step up and sign on. Did Craddick tell him to stand down?

After one of the CAMPO meetings in 2005 in the parking lot, I asked Strama, why he would break the written promise he made to our AustinTollParty.com group, and vote FOR freeway toll bills every time with Rep. Mike Krusee.

Strama told myself and a witness that he voted with House Transportation Chair Mike Krusee on the freeway toll bills because:

"I'm a Democrat in a Republican house.
It's kind of like being in prison and
I've got to be someone's bitch."

STRAMA NEWS: Late Wednesday - Strama signs on (a little pressure does a lot)

NEW ADMISSION FROM SENATOR ROBERT NICHOLS (Former TxDOT Commissioner):

"the state is enacting a policy that forces
Texans to drive on a toll road with
very few alternatives"

EMAIL FROM Rachelle:

Sal:

I have contacted you before regarding issues that I have with the tollways. I just got off the phone with Mike Krusee's office and the woman informed me that he would not be supporting the moratorium on toll roads because that would mean that 'Highway 130 would be done, there would be no more I-130'. Those were the woman's words to me. I stressed to her that it was important to me as a voting citizen that he support the two year moratorium. She and I went back and forth. She stated to me that his constituents want I-130 completed. I informed her that I was one of his constituents. She said there were more in favor of having toll roads than those who don't want toll roads. I told her that I would be taking my opinion to the polls when I vote next time. She said that would be fine and that he was proud to represent me. HE OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T REPRESENT ME!!!!! Sorry for venting. I was so mad when I got off the phone that I had to let you know what happened. My other Rep, Steve Ogden is already signed on. I'm happy about that. Is there any thing else that I can do to push this issue or is it hopeless? I wonder if he's getting kick backs. It just makes me so mad that the people we pay to represent us are NOT REPRESENTING US!!!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if there is anything else that may persuade Mike Krusee to change his mind.

Thank you for your time,

Rachelle

Sal,

Thanks for the comment over at Lone Star Pundit, and for pointing me over here. I'll be checking back often to see your updates.

Btw, both my state senator (Dan Patrick) and my rep are on board!

Hello Kyle (and others),

If your Rep has signed on, please look up your friends and families Reps throughout Texas, and have them call their Reps...

We all have to chip in and pull, if we want to beat the special interests, to keep our freeways free and stop the TTC land grab!

Thanks!
Sal

Hi Sal:

I think the WHOLE of our legislators have gone abxolutely MAD. Open Borders are KILLING America, The North American Union is a crock and England is trying their best to get OUT of that European Union. The Trilatteral commission, the CFR and other organizations are RUNNING the politics of this nation.

We have to keep fighting all these STUPIS things they are doing to us but sometime I feel like we are too far down the road to turn back. It is very discouraging.

I have called Austin and everybody else I know to call and tell them NO to giving foreigners control over ANY of our toll roads in Texas. WE PAID for them with TAX money and NO FOREIGNER should EVER collect any of our money. I told Austin I would drive 10 MILES out of the way to see that not one red cent of my money got in their hands.

Sincerely yours, Doris

Texas needs AT LEAST 15 more reps to sign on.

Citizens,
Do you know where your State Rep is tonight?

If they're dining with a pro-TTC lobbyist, you need to remind them that you won't be subsidizing their dinners any more--and they can expect to have an opponent in the next primary.

FROM BJ:

I come from Tulsa, where they stated the tolls were to pay for the roads and then they would close them. To date, the only way you can get into or out of Tulsa is to pay a toll with no sign of any of them closing. Don't let them fool you.
