Alamo RMA Chair Bill Thornton's comments make one wonder if he actually thinks before he speaks:

"The North Side has had explosive growth and has the most traffic congestion — one of the things needed for a toll-road system. It also has the other thing necessary for a toll-road system, the viability of people who want it, enough people who will travel on a toll-road system," Thornton said.



He just admitted permanent congestion is needed for a toll road system...any questions? Proof positive toll roads DO NOT solve congestion, they actually create and manipulate it for financial gain while motorists and neighborhoods suffer and are prevented from getting sensible solutions! If toll roads solved congestion, Houston and Dallas would be poster children for mobility. Notice he also says northside residents WANT TOLLS...get on the horn folks, and write, call, and hound your State Reps and Bill Thornton to tell them otherwise! Call talk radio and write letters to the editor (short and sweet).
