The Senate Transportation Committee just voted unanimously to move forward with a slightly revised version of Sen. Nichols 2 year moratorium bill (SB 1267).
Gov. Perry has been stepping up in the last couple days to slam the toll moratorium bill via radio, TV and other media. The bill would give a two year pause to most private equity toll road projects not signed at the time the legislation goes into effect.
To date the CorridorWatch scorecard shows 81% of the Senate and 74% of the House are signed on, which would make it veto-proof. The issue is Rep. Krusee will most likely not let is see the light of day, but it could be brought up as an amendment to another bill...
