Karen Sonleitner Run's from her Record and the TRUTH!

Welcome to Sonleitner's
Alternate Universe!
"Listened to our concerns"??????
"Fighting for Free Roads"??????
Whhhaaaaat????

Karen "Toll Road Queen" Sonleitner, County Commissioner, has sent out her latest absurd literature to TRICK voters. Sonleitners literature is specifically created to give the impression to the uneducated voter that she's been "fighting for free roads" and "listening to our concerns". That is simply not true. Yowza! You'd be hard pressed to find a politician that would attempt to sell that hogwash!

So much for owning up to THE TRUTH! Why doesn't she run on her record? These lies should offend every tax paying citizen in Texas. Don't let her get away with it. Take action below.

Sonleitner’s votes have been instrumental in giving away our central Texas public freeways, so special interests will profit. The same special interests that fund her campaign!

Karen Sonleitner of Precinct 2 has:
Voted to privatize and toll hundreds of millions
of dollars worth of our public highways! A DOUBLE TAX!

IGNORED 93% of the public feedback that opposed the toll plan!

Voted to RAISE COUNTY TAXES for all Travis residents!

And, after all that, she gave herself a SALARY INCREASE!
Sonleitner is flush with toll lobby money.

There is NO Republican to go against Sonleitner in the fall, so we ask that EVERYONE in precinct 2 vote in this primary (There is historically a very low voter turnout for primaries so your vote is crucial! - ANY registered voter in the precinct can vote - and anyone can volunteer for Sarah). Sarah Eckhardt is our only chance to DUMP Sonleitner AND her freeway tolls. Sarah is a former prosecutor and she's endorsed by People for Efficient Transportation and ready to fight Sonleitners new drivers tax. Sarah Eckrardt is using grass root volunteers to beat all those dollars.

TAKE ACTION: Sarah Eckhardt (above with toll gantry) needs your help today. Go to her website and sign up to take your county back from the special interests!!!!:

People of Travis County Precinct 2, north and northeast Travis county, you MUST get your voter registration in order now and you MUST get to the polls on March 7 and vote in the Republican primary and vote for Ms. Eckhart and against Karen Sonleitner.

If you do not do that you invite physical and economic ruination upon yoursself, your children and your grandchildren. Any kind of moral conscience says you must make that effort to get to the polls on March 7 and vote for Ms. Eckhart. It is simply the right and honorable thing to do.

Watch one of those County Commissioners meetings on cable TV sometimes. If Sonleitner is not one of those disgusting suck-up "smiling faces" who is continually out to put a false face on every issue, I do not know who is.

And do not forget that the way Karen Sonleitner originally got in to public office back in 1998. Her good buddy Dana DeBouvoir and the whole crooked bunch of our Travis county officials were down at the Palmer auditorium county the votes from the election. It was about two oc'clock in the morning and Sonlietner was losing miserably to her opponent Jim Sanders. She was seen crying and weeping and wailing all around the auditorium.

Then, low and behold, a miracle happens! The final few boxes counted gave her a huge big lead in the votes and she won the election by less than one hundred votes I think.

There was one ballot box that had broken safety seals and was counted twice. There were broken safety seals on other ballot boxes. There were forged signatures on the voter sign-in lists from the voting precincts. But the then Secretary of State was there and declared the vote count all perfectly fine and legal and he certified the election.

So I say to you that everything about Karen Sonlietner reeks of fraud from her very beginning in politics.

Anyone who just apathetically sits back and does not at least go to the primary polls on March 7 and vote against her and just lets this ill-intentioned person slip and sleaze and slime her way back in to office, deserves the misery that they will surely get from these triple tax toll roads that are nothing but a giant fraud on central Texans.

SONLEITNER HAS NO SHAME!
AUSTIN CHRON LETTER TO EDITOR:

Unexpectedly Quoted
Dear Editor,

It is disconcerting to find in print an item about five words spoken at the only private party I have hosted in two decades ["Naked City," News, Jan. 20].

In mid-December, we mailed invitations "to celebrate life" on Jan. 11 at Zilker Clubhouse. The invitation mentioned dinner by Threadgill's, Floyd Domino at the keyboard, no presents but your presence, and did not mention birthday.

One of the invited guests was the incomparable Sarah Eckhardt, graduate of UT's law school and LBJ School, and candidate for county commissioner, Precinct 2. Sarah attended the 5:30pm party briefly and departed for her young son's birthday.

About midway in the party, I was surprised to see an uninvited Karen Sonleitner, wearing her campaign name badge, mingling with the guests (who wore our preprinted name tags). As a supporter of Eckhardt's candidacy, I spent several minutes wondering what to do since my guests quite naturally would assume that Sonleitner also was invited.

After Sonleitner finally departed, I concluded there was no alternative but to tell my guests (at this nonpolitical event) that I was supporting Eckhardt and that Sonleitner had crashed my party. The next morning, I received a note of apology from Sonleitner and was quite ready to close the books on the awkward happening.

A week later, however, I received my In Fact Weekly and was saddened to find words about the unfortunate event in print. In retrospect, I can only say it does seem curious that no one else in Austin thought the gathering was open to the public.

If ever again I get the urge to host a party, I'll probably try to rent the convention center and pay for open invitation ads in the local press!

I had a thought...Maybe she listened to those 4 people in the photograph, in direct mail...and ignored hundreds of thousands.

Maybe Sonleitner and her fat cat pals don't understand that most families can't afford to pay thousands of dollars more a year, just to drive to work, school and play.

I am going to go vote NOW! She is sending out letters taking much responsibility for the fact that a sexually oriented business decided not to build here. Sure she offered her name in opposition, but a resident of the area worked very hard to organize people in this campaign - this faight against the SOB. So receiving a letter in the mail from KS taking so much credit. It is disgusting. I wouldn't expect the same of Mark Strama and his name was used as much as hers.
